StarWatch is a product of Lektik Consulting. This policy explains what we collect when you visit this website, request early access or ask us to get in touch, and what we do with it.

01Who we are

Lektik Consulting (“we”, “us”) owns and operates StarWatch and this website, and is responsible for the personal data described here. 02What this policy covers

This policy covers this website, the Request Access form and the “Let's talk” contact form. It does not cover the StarWatch service itself. If you go on to use the service, we will give you separate terms and a privacy notice that explain how it works before you start.

03What we collect

What you give us.

  • Request Access: your name, work email, which best describes you (talent, manager, PR agency or brand), the public names or handles you'd like us to watch, and the plan you picked.
  • Let's talk: your email address.

What happens automatically.

  • Our hosting and delivery providers process technical details needed to show you the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.
  • The site uses fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address.
  • If you switch the pricing currency, that choice is saved in your own browser so it's remembered next time. It is never sent to us.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics tools on this website.

04How we use it

  • To reply to your early-access request and talk to you about StarWatch.
  • To reply when you ask us to get in touch. We won't add you to a mailing list.
  • To keep the website running, secure and free of abuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

05Why we're allowed to

We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting a form, and you can withdraw it at any time. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we also rely on our legitimate interest in running and securing this website, and on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.

06Names and handles you give us

If you ask us to watch a name or handle that isn't yours, for example as a manager or agency, you confirm that you represent that person or are otherwise authorised to make the request. We may ask you to show this before onboarding.

07Who we share it with

  • Service providers who host the site and store or send messages for us: Amazon Web Services, which hosts the website (in India, delivered through a global network), and Google, which stores the details you send through our forms in our company workspace. They act on our instructions and only for these purposes.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.
  • A buyer or successor, if StarWatch or Lektik Consulting is reorganised, merged or sold, with this policy continuing to apply.

08Where it's stored

We store data in India where we can. Some providers may process it in other countries. When that happens we rely on the safeguards the law requires.

09How long we keep it

  • Early-access and contact requests: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Technical logs: kept only as long as our providers need them to run and secure the service.

10Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct or update it, have it erased, withdraw your consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance with us. If you're in the EU or UK you also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email info@lektik.com. We'll acknowledge your request within 7 days and respond within 30 days.

11Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, and access to the data we hold is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you, and the authorities where required, if a breach affects you.

12Children

StarWatch is meant for adults and the professionals who work with them. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.

13Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if anything changes, and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email when we have your address.

14Contact and Grievance Officer

Questions, requests and complaints about your personal data go to the Grievance Officer at Lektik Consulting: info@lektik.com. Put “Grievance” in the subject line so it reaches them quickly. We'll acknowledge it within 7 days and resolve it within 30 days.
